Samuel Beebe
Samuel Beebe is a composer and sound designer living Brooklyn. His interests in the
dramatic possibilities of music have led to collaborations in the areas of opera,
theater, and film. He has collaborated with The Chelsea Symphony, director Mallory
Catlett, Castle of Our Skins, Boston Choral Ensemble, Sound Icon, WordSong, Texas
Flute Society, Imaginary Beasts, and Argos Productions. His song cycles “Rocking Chair
Child” and “The Woods” were finalists for the 2017 and 2018 American Prize in Chamber
Music. He holds a M.M. in Composition from Boston University and a B.S. in Music Technology
from Northeastern University.
