Ford Fourqurean is an award-winning clarinetist, electronic artist, videographer, and arts administrator based in New York City. He serves as Director of Concerts, Marketing, and Publicity at his alma mater Stony Brook University as well as Executive Director and clarinetist of Unheard-of//Ensemble presenting unique multimedia concert experiences around the United States.
Known as āa unique forceā (The Clarinet Journal), he has toured across the United States with Unheard-of//Ensemble presenting guest artist performances and talks at Northwestern, Manhattan School of Music, Cornell, and Oberlin with a repertoire of over 100 works written for the ensemble. He has written and won grants from Chamber Music America, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Brooklyn Arts Council, the Barlow Endowment to commission Reiko FĆ¼ting, Alice M. Ditson Fund, Puffin Foundation, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Johnstone Fund for New Music, and New Music USA. HeĀ has worked in production, audio, and video recording with ensembles of all genres across New York City, as on-site audio engineer and videographer for ensembles of all sizes from rock bands at The Bitter End to classical groups at DiMenna, Mise-en_Place, or outdoor venues across the city. He has recorded for Baroquelyn, Talujon Percussion, Pinknoise Ensemble, Blackbox Ensemble, eGALitarian Brass, and many solo artists.Ā
