EPOVB Conference 2025
The Department of Political Science is proud to host the third annual Elections, Public Opinion, and Voting Behavior conference at Stony Brook University, in Stony Brook, NY.
The conference will take place Thursday, May 29th through Saturday May 31st, 2025, on the campus of Stony Brook University. The conference will include plenary sessions, panel presentations, manuscript workshop sessions, and poster sessions for faculty and advanced graduate students that will provide opportunity to foster connections among EPOVB members, develop research communities, receive scholarly feedback, and disseminate research on Elections, Public Opinion, and Voting Behavior.
The theme of the conference is “Studying Political Behavior in Turbulent Times.” In an era marked by political polarization, the emergence of authoritarian political leaders, rampant misinformation, democratic backsliding, and political violence, understanding political behavior has never been more crucial. We invite you to participate in the conference as a paper-giver, poster presenter, discussant, or attendee. It is not necessary to present a paper to attend the conference and we will strive for a mix of junior and senior scholar attendees. Space is limited, however, and we may not be able to accept all applicants.
To submit a paper, poster, express interest in serving as a discussant, or simply
express interest in attending the conference:
Please complete the application form which will ask for a one-page summary of a paper
or poster for potential presenters, or a description of your research interests for
non-presenters, by Friday, November 15, 2024.
Inquiries can be directed to EPOVB_2025@stonybrook.edu.
