We carefully evaluate applications by looking at prior research experience, resilience and hardship. The only requirement is for the GPA to be at least 3.0.
- Should I contact a faculty member prior to my applying to the program? This is not compulsory but it is always better. It shows that you are proactive and already identified a potential host laboratory.
- I already have a M.S. degree in engineering, can I be considered an advanced student and skip the M.S. portion? Yes, in this case you will be responsible for finding a laboratory to fund your research as a Research Assistant prior to applying to the program.
