Reaching ELL Students: Lessons that Work

In recent years, there has been an influx of English language learners (ELLs) in our schools. Regardless of the subject or grade level you teach, chances are you will face the challenge of effectively reaching the ELL students in your classroom. With the advent of distance learning, reaching our ELL students is more challenging than ever before. In this course, strategies and instruction ideas tailored to the ELL population will be explored as well as the exploration of content-specific lessons that you can actually use in your day-to-day curriculum. Emphasis will also be placed on truly understanding the personal, socio-cultural, and linguistic needs of ELL students.
