Sthaneshwar Timalsina was conferred the title of Vidyājyotirdharaḥ, or the "Torchbearer of Knowledge," by the Chancellor of Indus University at a special convocation on the recommendation of the Center for Indic Studies, Indus University, Ahmedabad, India, on July 22, 2025, for his outstanding contributions to advancing and preserving Indian Knowledge Systems, especially in Tantra, Hindu Philosophy, and Consciousness Studies.


 S.N. Sridhar  has received a prestigious award.  the G. Venkatasubbaiah Bhasha Samman Puraskara 2024 (the 2024 G. Venkatasubbaiah Award for Outstanding Contributions to Language and Literature) in recognition of his excellent scholarly work, most notably, the translation of Kumaravyasa Bharata, edited by Sridhar and published by Harvard University Press.

Congratulations to Yi , who received SBU's Presidential Mini-Grant ($2,550) for the Departmental Initiatives for her proposal entitled, "Unpacking the Myths of Study Abroad: A student-led critical reflection series"!
