Use this form to request permission to enroll in LIN 405. Note that you need a paper from a prior linguistics class to work on in LIN 405. Usually students take this class in their last semester on campus. See our FAQ page for more information.

Use this form to request permission to enroll in an independent course such as internships, honors thesis or undergrad TAships. For all independent courses you should have talked with a faculty supervisor for the project before applying. See our FAQ page for more information.

Use this form to request permission to enroll in a LIN course which has new core curriculum (LIN 202, LIN 203) noted as pre-requisites, but you've taken the previous LIN major/minor core courses (LIN 201, LIN 301, and LIN 311). The department will review student course history to verify they've met equivalency. Use this form* to request an "INCOMPLETE" grade (I) in a LIN department course. Undergraduate students must submit this form before the last day of class of the semester. Prior to completing this form, students must speak with the course instructor for the class they wish to request an "INCOMPLETE" grade for and upload justification/authorization when completing this form.

*Form opens on December 1st (Fall) and May 1st (Spring) and closes the last day of classes.
