NACLO practice session
PhD students Hongchen Wu, Ali Salehi, and John David Storment ran a practice session for area high school and middle school level students for the upcoming North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad. Professor Christina Hagedorn (CUNY) gave a talk on phonetic science. Professor Richard Larson led discussion on careers with Linguistics degrees for these students' parents. Special thanks to all of them and Dr. Paola Cepeda for organizing. The practice session was a joint effort between the Linguistics department and the IACS, coordinated by Professor Jeffrey Heinz.
