    About the Program

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime in the summer of 2025! Our faculty-led summer study abroad program offers an immersive journey into Korean language, history, and culture, with a special focus on the vibrant traditions and unique history of Jeju Island. Over the course of four unforgettable weeks, students are immersed in both the ancient and modern facets of Korea. A pre-departure Zoom orientation will be held to prepare students for the program. Once in the country, students will be at the Global Campus in Songdo for 2.5 weeks, followed by two enriching weeks at Jeju National University on Jeju Island, where hands-on cultural exploration will bring your studies to life. The expected dates will be from June 26 to July 29, 2025. This program is a unique opportunity to sharpen Korean language skills, and also expand students' worldview in an authentic and exciting environment.

Join fellow students from across the U.S., including George Mason, the University of Utah, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, for a transformative summer of learning, adventure, and cultural discovery!

The Center for Korean Studies will generously offer scholarship funding for this program. Qualified students with a cumlative GPA of 3.0 and above, registered for 6 credits will be screened and notified if they were selected to receive a $500 program fee reduction.
