Funding Your Program
Scholarships - Financial Aid - Cost Statistics
Students applying for scholarships should consider that the awards may offset thier overall cost of participation (tuition, program fee, flight, living expenses, etc) but should not expect to be awarded enough to cover their full program participation cost. We urge students to consider this when applying to their program of interest as they should expect out of pocket expenses and/or the need to obtain loans and/or financial aid.

Financial Aid
A primary concern of students considering an overseas experience is cost. Therefore it is important to note that students can take advantage of SUNY tuition and apply their financial aid to an overseas experience. Speak with a financial aid advisor at your home campus to discuss how aid applies to overseas programs.
Note:
SBU does not issue paper bills. All billing is conducted through the SOLAR system. Students are responsible for paying their bill prior to departure. SBU students on other SUNY programs will be billed for tuition at Stony Brook University.
Tuition costs and fees are subject to change. Please refer to the cost sheet provided by the IAP Office.
Financial aid questions should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Services at (631) 632-6840. Stony Brook students should visit the following link.
