Historical Note Peter McFerrin Clarke of Long Island was active in the Sag Harbor Advisory Council,
Southampton Township Preservation Society, Southampton Town Conservation Commission,
and the Preservation Society of the East End (which became part of the Suffolk County
Conservation Council in the 1970s).
