Video: Mental Healthcare: The Lived Experience of LGBTQ+ People of Color 

This video production includes interviews with 5 LGBTQ+/POC. The Wright-Constantine Structured Cultural Interview (Wright, A.J. & Constantine, K., 2020) and data gathered from focus groups were used to create focal areas and questions for the interviews. The overall goal of this initiative was to provide training resources for mental health providers to increase their cultural sensitivity and cultural humility, especially regarding providing care to LGBTQ+/POC.A primary objective was to capture the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ POC. This video consists of 6 training segments: (1) Introductions; (2) Participants Salient Identities & Their Impact on Their Lives; (3) Stressors and Mental Health; (4) Adverse & Affirming Experiences; (5) Coping Mechanisms; and, (6) Navigating Family & The Community.
