Please note: Applications for Summer and Fall 2026 volunteers are CLOSED.
Volunteers provide an important service to our community members by running the daily
pantry operations. Our student volunteers are undergraduate or graduate students who
express passion for combating food insecurity, possess excellent customer service
skills, and demonstrate a dedication to helping the larger Stony Brook community by providing resources and basic needs to their fellow
Seawolves who are in need.
Our volunteers are committed to the overall mission of the Stony Brook University Seawolves Pantry. They also play an integral part in the success of the mission and vision of the Center
for Civic Justice, as well as that of the Department of Student Community Development
as a whole. We greatly appreciate the hard work and commitment that our volunteers commit each
and every semester.
Volunteer cohorts are organized on a semesterly basis, with new volunteer opportunities
opening up four times a year: standard Fall and Spring semesters, as well as the intersession
Winter and Summer sessions.
Are you interested in becoming a future volunteer? Please fill out and submit the form below. You will then be added to our email list
for the semester or session that you indicated.
