Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Must be a SUNY undergraduate studentmajoring in a STEM field;
- Must be a first-generation college student or economically disadvantaged;
- Must have completed at least their freshman year; graduating seniors are not eligible (those receiving a bachelor’s degree in Spring 2025 or Summer 2025);
- Must be interested in one of the following key research areas: a) Artificial Intelligence; b) Microelectronics/Semiconductors; c) Biotechnology/Bioengineering; d) Quantum Information Science; or e) Climate and Sustainability. - A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is recommended.

Previous research experience is NOT required.
