About CIE SBU Scholars

The CIE SBU Scholars Program provides financial and social support to eligible students through the following ways:

• Conference Support: Attend conferences to present research and network
• SREB Institute on Teaching and Mentoring: Attend the largest gathering of historically underrepresented graduate students interested in a faculty career path
• Community of Student Mentors (CSM) Program: Make powerful peer-to-peer mentoring connections with fellow CIE Scholars
• CIE Emergency Support Award: Apply for funding if confronted with an emergency or unexpected lapse in support
• Community Building Socials: Connect with underrepresented graduate students over lunch
• CIE Resources: Select books from our curated CIE Library and/or request a Laptop Loan
