Grant Support

The CIE is pleased to provide specialized assistance to faculty and departments interested in submitting grant proposals; such as NIH training grants, IGERT proposals, GAANN proposals and various other NSF, NIH and DOE proposals. The CIE can provide information about broader University strategies being used to diversify graduate student enrollment, data on diversity as well as attempt to provide insight, information and ideas that we have found to be useful tools. We provide letters of support for grant submissions both on and off campus. In addition to helping our colleagues; it is our hope that this activity will open up other opportunities for engaging in interdepartmental collaborations. 

Data

The CIE maintains longitudinal data on enrollment and degrees and we also track alumni. If you are in need of data on underrepresented minority enrollment and degree production dating back to the year 2000, please contact us. 

Site Visits and Other Collaborations

The CIE supports site visits and is happy to participate in relevant departmental committees.
