AGEP-T:  The Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate – Transformation 

AGEP-T is the new National Science Foundation grant committed to increasing diversity in the academy in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). AGEP-T is focused on building strategic alliances of institutions and organizations to develop programs that will increase the success of underrepresented minority students in STEM through graduate education, postdoctoral training, and academic STEM career preparation. 

 

AGEP-T FRAME:  Frontiers of Research and Academic Models of Excellence

FRAME Scholars: All underrepresented minority doctoral students in STEM and postdoctoral associates with research interests in STEM that have registered with the Center for Inclusive Education (CIE). FRAME Scholars are invited to participate in all programming of the AGEP-T Program and the CIE. 

FRAME Fellows: Scholars have the opportunity to apply to become FRAME Fellows and receive funding for various research endeavors, conference travel and career/professional development. Fellows represent the highest levels of accomplishment and are dedicated to pursuing academic careers in which they will help mentor and encourage future scholars. FRAME Fellows join existing research labs, groups or projects at Stony Brook and/or Brookhaven National Laboratory.
