The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University has
nine academic departments offering degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Undergraduate

The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University will prepare you for a career in your chosen field of study that will allow you to play an instrumental role in addressing some of the biggest challenges facing humanity today.

We have nine academic departments that offer 13 undergraduate majors and 40 minors. The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University offers the following degrees:

High school students have a variety of opportunities, ranging from hands-on research to credit-bearing summer courses, that can set your college career in motion.

There are many programs to explore, too. For example, the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE Honors) Program seeks to increase the number of women in science, math and engineering fields through outreach, recruitment and retention efforts and enables undergraduate women to work closely with peers and faculty to form friendships and to achieve a solid background in their field. 

Please contact the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Undergraduate Student Office to learn about student services including academic advising, academic support, mentor and internship programs, career development including professional licensure, and a myriad of academic-related matters including scholarships. They will also provide information on our 20 clubs and organizations that benefit students with professional development, leadership opportunities, connections to national organizations and how to apply knowledge beyond the classroom.

The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences offers exceptional graduate programs. Students interested in pursuing graduate work in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences may apply to their program of interest. We have nine academic departments that offer advanced degrees. Students may also learn of additional opportunities and funding for graduate study through the Graduate School.
