August 2026 at Charles B. Wang Center

A Letter from the Director

Dear Friends,

As we begin another exciting season, I am pleased to share a new lineup of exhibitions, films, performances, lectures, workshops, and festivals that celebrate the arts and cultures of Asia and beyond.

This fall, we are proud to present Walking the World: Gareth Fuller's Art of Place, which features remarkable maps by the artist Gareth Fuller. Drawing on years of travel and observation, Fuller creates richly detailed works that invite us to see familiar places in new ways. We hope you will join us for his lecture and the exhibition opening on September 9.

The season also includes the showing of the complete Evangelion film series, a Japanese tea ceremony with Yoshitsugu Nagano, a koto performance by Masayo Ishigure, several lectures, and hands-on cultural workshops, as well as CommUniversity Day, when visitors can explore the Wang Center and its current exhibitions.

Additionally, we are happy to share that, with support from the Charles B. Wang International Foundation, the railings in the Wang Garden have been repainted as part of a broader effort to revitalize this beloved space for our campus and community.

In February, we will welcome the Year of the Goat with our annual Lunar New Year Celebration, featuring performances, family activities, food, crafts, fireworks, and Magic Q's popular magic show.

Thank you for your continued friendship and support. We look forward to seeing you at the Wang Center throughout the year!

Warm regards,

Jinyoung Anna Jin
