I Have Not Yet Received My COVID Vaccine, but Will Now Get Vaccinated Given the FDA Approval and SUNY Requirement
If you have not yet received your COVID vaccine, the deadline to complete the second dose of a two-dose series (i.e., Pfizer or Moderna)
or the single-dose vaccine (i.e., J&J) and submit the proof of vaccination to the Wolfie Health Portal is Friday, September 24, 2021. You must upload your proof of vaccination by September 24 to remain enrolled in your

Where can I get a COVID vaccine?
- The COVID vaccine is now widely available at local pharmacies such as Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens, and Duane Reade.
- You can also go to a New York state-run site, including the R&D Park (listed as “SUNY Stony Brook”) located on Stony Brook Road. For a listing of all state-run and other vaccination sites, click HERE.
- We are offering the COVID vaccine for free on campus. For walk-in and appointment dates, times, and locations, please visit the Student Health Services website.
When must I get a COVID vaccine to meet the September 24 deadline?
- If you select the one-dose J&J series, you must obtain and submit proof of your vaccination by September 24.
- If you select the two-dose Pfizer series, which requires a 21-day period between vaccines, you must obtain your first dose no later than September 3, obtain your second dose by September 24, and submit proof of your vaccination by September 24.
- If you select the two-dose Moderna series, which requires a 28-day period between vaccines, you must obtain your first dose no later than August 27, obtain your second dose by September 24, and submit proof of your vaccination by September 24.
