Subject:National Voter Registration Day and Important Voter Information
Dear Seawolves,
At Stony Brook University, we believe exercising your right to vote is important,
and we want to support you in making your voice heard every election. This year, Election
Day is Tuesday, November 7th.
During the weeks ahead, there will be programming, tools, and other resources that
will help you cast your ballot this November. To kick-off the semester, Stony Brook
will be celebrating National Voter Registration Day TODAY, Wednesday, September 20th
from 11:00am-3:00pm in SAC Ballroom A.
National Voter Registration Day is an opportunity for you to do the following:
-
Check and confirm your voter registration information is active and up to date
-
Apply for an absentee ballot to vote if you will be away from home on Election Day
-
Register to vote or update your voter information
-
Learn about important deadlines for voter registration, requesting a mail-in ballot, when to mail in your ballot, how to vote early, and more!
Visit the SB Engaged event page for National Voter Registration Day for additional information, and follow @CivicJusticeSBU on Instagram for news and updates.
The Center for Civic Justice is here to support your voting needs and assist you in navigating the voting process. We encourage you to reach out to the Center and/or visit their Voter Information page to find out more about registering to vote, absentee voting, early voting and upcoming election deadlines.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Center for Civic Justice at CivicJustice@stonybrook.edu or visit them in Union Suite L-20 during business hours.
