Primary Care Clinic

Student Health Services provides primary care to undergraduate and graduate students at Stony Brook University. Services range from basic, acute, and chronic medical care management to more complicated health care concerns. Our provider staff is cognizant of the different demands of our student groups and diverse student population.

Diagnostic medications are accessible from the pharmacy and we have a NYS certified laboratory.

Dermatology Clinic

At Stony Brook University Student Health our primary care providers treat many routine dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, skin allergies, and other common rashes in our medical clinics.  For those skin conditions that require a Dermatologist, we provide a special Dermatology Clinic for students. Our primary care providers will refer patients from our medical clinic to the dermatology clinic when the dermatologic problem rises to the need of expert care. The dermatology clinic is staffed by a senior resident from Stony Brook University Hospital Dermatology Division, and they  are well trained to handle more complicated dermatological conditions.

Appointments are made upon referral from the General Primary Care  Clinic for the above specialty clinic. Appointments are required. If you walk-in without an appointment we cannot guarantee that you will be seen at that time, but we will work with you to schedule our next available appointment.
