Information for prospective students interested in taking School of Professional Development graduate courses.

What is a non-matriculated student?

"Non-matriculated" just means that a student has not been formally admitted into a graduate program. This option is designed for students who have earned a bachelor's degree and:

  • Want to take a course or two before committing to a graduate program

The School of Professional Development (SPD) allows non-matriculated (GSP) students to take courses on a space-available basis with the permission of the program director.

Transferring Credits Into an SPD Graduate Program

GSP students are not limited in the number of courses they can take. However, there are limits to the number of credits they can transfer into a graduate program. If they plan to matriculate into a degree or certificate program, they are advised to submit their applications before they reach these limits.
