Anna Parkitna
Anna Parkitna holds a PhD in music history and theory from Stony Brook University. Her research on Warsaw's opera culture in the years 1765-1830 explores intersections between  transnational operatic circulations and the particularity of the Polish Enlightenment. She has received stipends from the German Historical Institute in Warsaw, the Gotha Research Center of the University of Erfurt, and the Herder Institute for Historical REsearch on East-Central Europe, as well as a travel grant (William Holmes/ Frank D'Accone Endowment) from the American Musicological Society. Her book Opera in Warsaw: A City of the European Enlightenment was published by Cambridge University Press in the Cambridge Elements series "Music and the City" in December 2024.
