Complaints
Middle States values information provided by individuals when an institution's operations
are inconsistent with standards for accreditation. Middle States also requires institutions
to adopt appropriate grievance procedures, and the Commission expects complaints to
be resolved through institutional channels. Complaints about an institution’s compliance
with requirements of the Commission can be submitted according to the policies on
the MSCHE complaint web page. The State University of New York also maintains a web portal to submit student concerns. The New York State Department of Education maintains a web portal for the submission
of complaints.
