Word List

This task focused on non-native production of English segments. Participants were asked to read aloud a word list that included three repetitions of each target word, prompted in blocks with different random orders.  The word list included at least two words illustrating each of several segmental or syllable structure features known to be problematic for non-native speakers (such as contrasting tense vs. lax vowels, contrasting mid vs. low front vowels, and both voiced and voiceless coda consonants.
