Michael R. Bielski, J.D., M.S. is a medical device, biotech and agtech entrepreneur. As an inventor and founder, Michael has brought technologies from conception, prototyping and patenting, through product development and manufacturing, and ultimately to the generation of licensing revenue, clinical use and sales. Michael is an expert across all areas of high-technology commercialization including out-licensing and start-up company formation.  

Michael is a co-founder and co-inventor at Capseus, Inc., a company selling autograft medical devices for surgical fusion.  Michael is a co-founder at NewLeaf Symbiotics, Inc., an agtech company that has raised over $85M with 40+ employees and sells microbial seed treatment applications. Michael is also a co-founder at Hairpin Technologies, Inc., a company that has executed over 50 licenses to expand the commercial distribution and research use of short hairpin RNA (shRNA), a versatile biomedical research and drug discovery tool invented at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL).

Michael received a B.S. in Biology from Stony Brook University, an M.S. in Neuroscience from Syracuse University, and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a research associate at the Technology Commercialization Research Center.
