Pete made his first 5 gallon batch of brew in his Holbrook kitchen in 1986. Bit by the travel bug, Pete covered over over a million miles internationally (as well as literally every small-midsize town in the USA ) which exposed him to some of the greatest breweries in the world, many being small andlocal. Sometimes coming home was hard for Pete as Long Island hadn't seen a local brewery since 1952. He thought it deserved better. So in December of 1998 he and his partner mortgaged their homes, maxed their credit cards and opened The Blue Point Brewing Co. The local demand quickly exceeded his dreams and Blue Point became the fastest growing brewery, out of the top 50, in the USA. Blue Point was recently purchased by the largest brewery in the world Anheuser-Busch Inbev. which allows Pete to bike, fish and enjoy time with his wife and 2 children.
