Our Facilities
Stony Brook recently received funding from the State of New York to build a $75 million, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to innovation in medicine and engineering. This new building will be the home ofdiscovery and innovation in medicine and engineering, providing the physical space within which convergence science can flourish. It will bring together teams of clinicians, bioscientists, engineers and data scientists to conduct cross-cutting research in a wide range of engineering-driven medicine projects. The building is currently under construction and is expected to open in 2023.
The IEDM draws from the outstanding resources within the School of Medicine and College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, including cross-cutting facilities on Stony Brook’s east and west campus and Research Park.
