(BA Hofstra, MA Clark University) – Damian’s work analyzes the construction of virtual subjectivity in new media texts (i.e., simulated environments, simulated bodies, virtual ego construction) as well as social responses to the development of computing technology in late 20th-century cultural productions. Much of Damian’s work takes a postcolonial frame with emphasis on migration and Global Asias, and he hopes to bridge this more socially conscious work with his thinking on virtuality. Damian is also a creative writer with several small magazine publications and more forthcoming
