Troy Singletary obtained his BS in mechanical engineering from Cooper Union before
starting his doctoral studies at Stony Brook University. He works in professor Carlos
Colosqui's lab on nanoparticle adhesion at solid-liquid interfaces via computational
methods. He spends his free time going to concerts and playing chess.
Why I chose to join AGEP : I've always wanted to do college level teaching and the AGEP fellowship is a great way to get teaching experience and explore a career at a primarily undergraduate insitution (PUI). I've been around academic spaces since high school and had the chance to work as a teaching assistant even before graduate school and I've always loved the teaching environment and the chance to brighten young minds.
