Chemistry Research day:
"We had our 21st Annual Chemistry Research Day (CRD) on 2/19/2021 to celebrate our
research accomplishments over this past challenging year. This year's CRD was unique
and fruitful because (i) it was organized virtually, which provided a special opportunity
for prospective students from other parts of the US and the world, including China
and
India, to participate; (ii) we had four outstanding faculty including Profs. Elizabeth
Boon
(Chemical Biology), Karena Chapman (Materials/Inorganic Chemistry), Melanie Chiu
(Organic/Polymer chemistry), and Benjamin Levine (Physical/Computational Chemistry)
presented their exciting research in the morning and scientifically stimulating poster
sections in the afternoon; and (iii) Prof. Stephen Koch also gave a retirement keynote
lecture to highlight his life-long contributions to the scientific community right
before the
Departmental Social towards the end of the day."
