NACLO Awards Ceremony
On April 4, the Linguistics department, the Institute of Advanced Computational Science, and the Long Island School for the Gifted celebrated the achievements of Long Island middle school and high school students who participated in the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad in 2019. Awards were given to the three top-performers in grades 5-12 in addition to the top five performing students overall. The event was attended by the award winners, their families and friends, along with many of their teachers from the participating schools, including the LISG, Half Hollow Hills East and West, Farmingdale High School, Glen Cove High School and Ward Melville High School.
