New York State Human Rights Law

Prohibits discrimination based on a broad range of protected characteristics in educational institutions, employment, housing, and places of public accommodation. 

Protected characteristis include: age, race, creed or religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, military status, sex, disability, marital status, familial status, domestic violence victim status, and genetic predisposition..

What is New York State Human Rights Law?

Protects students from discriminatory treatment in admissions, academic programs, housing, and campus services.

Employees and applicants are protected from discriminatory hiring practices, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace.

Visitors and community members have the right to access campus facilities and services free from discrimination.
