Soo Hugh Joins TV Writing Program Guest Series on November 5
Soo Hugh, showrunner for the television adaptation of the bestselling novel "Pachinko" by Min Jin Lee currently in development, will be interviewed by Alan Kingsberg at the Stony Brook Manhattan Center for Creative Writing and Film on Monday, November 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the third installment of the new TV Writing Guest Series being offered at the center.
Hosted by Stony Brook Southampton head of TV Writing Alan Kingsberg, the new series features in-depth discussions with TV writers and showrunners about the writing process, writers’ rooms, and a specific script or episode they’ve written.
Soo Hugh has been a showrunner and producer on such shows as "The Whispers" and "The Terror." In addition to serving as showrunner on "Pachinko," Hugh is writing the adaptation for the new series, which has Hugh and author Min Jin Lee as executive producers.
As preparation for the November 5 program, all those attending are requested to watch the pilot episode of the television series "The Whispers."
