My primary interests in linguistics are syntax, semantics and their interface, especially Binding Theory, Phase Theory, Architecture of the Grammar, Long-distance Phenomena, Word Order and Movement, Agreement, Switch-Reference. I also work on Syntax and Morphology of languages of Caucasus, especially on (Long Distance) Agreement, Control, and Reflexivization.

I also have interests in teaching large general education linguistics courses. I have taught LIN 200: Language in the USA, a class introducing basics of linguistics and sociolinguistics to non-majors, for since 2014. This semester, I am teaching LIN 311 "Syntax."
