Donna Tumminello has over 25 years of experience in project management both in industry and academia. She was a project manager for Long Island Lighting Company’s Long Island Energy Research and Development Initiative, a $30M corporate research and development program. She is currently the Associate Director in the Intellectual Property Partners for Stony Brook University where she is responsible for coordinating intellectual property management and technology transfer activities for the University.
Over the last 25 years Donna has managed many diverse research project teams and promoted business development and start-up activities. She also successfully started a new business venture for KeySpan Energy designing, manufacturing, and selling wireless metering control solutions to the Electric, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications Industries. Her new venture generated over $2M in annual product sales revenue.
Donna is also an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University. She teaches courses in Intellectual Property, Project Management, and Engineering Ethics.
