Dr. Howansky is a clinical medical physicist in Stony Brook University Hospital’s Department of Radiology. In addition to clinical service, he provides research expertise in theoretical modeling and experimental evaluation of radiation detectors for medical imaging. He has extensive experience collaborating with industry partners in developing novel active matrix flat-panel imagers (AMFPIs) for x-ray imaging applications in breast and interventional radiology.
