Global Forum Series Kicks Off This October!
Beginning this Fall, the Office of Global Affairs will collaborate with various Stony Brook institutes and offices to present the Global Forum series. The Global Forum offers a venue for Stony Brook faculty, staff and students to debate and comment on contemporary global issues that relate to the campus community. The series will kick-off on Oct. 12 at 1:00pm in the Wang Center Theater with the Inaugural Global Forum, co-presented by the Institute for Global Studies, which will cover the upcoming presidential election. The Global Forum will run throughout the 2016-2017 academic year, partnering with the Center for Multilingual and Intercultural Communication, Study Abroad and Exchange, and the President’s Council of Student Advisors, among others on a variety of topics that affect both the Stony Brook campus and the world. Forums will feature Stony Brook faculty, current students, and other experts. Mark your calendar for upcoming Global Forum events, and visit www.stonybrook.edu/oga for more information! |
