Public Service Employees
(Full-Time)
The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
New York State employees may qualify to participate in the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments are made under an accepted repayment plan and while working full-time for an eligible employer. New York State is an eligible employer.

B-140W TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The program is available to all Full-Time State & RF Employees attending a SUNY or Empire State College. A percentage of the tuition for three (3) credits may be waived each Spring and Fall semesters, based on career-relatedness and availability of funds.

UUP Tuition Waiver
Space Available Program
This program is available to UUP members attending a SUNY or Empire State College and is dependent upon space being available.
- Employees may request a waiver for one course during the Spring semester, Winter session, Fall semester, and each Summer session.
- This waiver may be used in combination with the B-140W state program, however, they may not be used for the same course.
- Deadlines for submission are the add/drop periods of each semester.

CLEFR Program
NYS/UUP JLMC CLEFR Program reimburses the cost of examinations for first-time certification, licensure, or designation of UUP-represented employees.
Council 82/NYSCOPBA Tuition Reimbursement
Online Course
April 1 through March 31 state fiscal year, allows up to $1,200 tuition reimbursement for qualified applicants when funding is available. Refunds are processed yearly and distributed by the state.
