Qingyun LiAssistant Professor B.S in Environmental Sciences, 2011: Peking University Ph.D. in Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, 2016 Washington University in St. Louis Postdoctoral research affiliate at Stanford University / SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Faculty member at Stony Brook since 2021 |
Professor Li uses experimental approaches, geochemical modeling, and synchrotron X-ray techniques to study water-rock interactions in energy and environmental applications. Example topics include:
- Biogeochemical reactions during underground gas/energy/waste storage
- Fate and transport of contaminants and nutrients in groundwater and soil
- Mineral dissolution, nucleation, and precipitation
- Coupling of chemical and mechanical alterations of rocks
- Reactive transport in porous media
