My name is Caleigh Capek and I am a May 2022 graduate from St. Joseph’s College, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with dual minors in religious studies and mindfulness. My coursework afforded me the opportunity to cultivate a thesis which investigated the public’s perception of panic disorder treatments, specifically cognitive behavioral therapy and panic-focused psychodynamic therapy. I had the privilege to present these results at the Eastern Psychological Association conference in New York City in March of 2022. Additionally, my undergraduate career allowed me to take a plethora of English courses which ultimately coincided with my primary program by encouraging me to foster my identity as a writer. I discovered an adoration for introspective prose and poetry through a spiritual and holistic approach. My passion for writing and literature has prompted me to pursue a career in teaching English.
