High School students - SUMMER 2024

Steps to Enroll

NOTE:  Students who wish to take General Chemistry I (CHE 131)  must complete the Online Chemistry Placement and Preparation (OCPP) process, a requirement for the course. Please see the website  for further details and instructions concerning the OCPP process.OCPP

1.    Make your course selection and credits. See course detail below.

2.    Complete our Summer and Winter Session Application.

3.    Allow (3-5) business days for processing. You will be sent a Stony Brook ID Number and registration instructions.

 NOTE: Once you have your SBUID and before you can enroll,  students must obtain special permission from the department.       Please email  ug_chemistry_advisors@stonybrook.edu with your name, SBUID  and write in the subject line:  "Summer CHE 131 - need permission to enroll".

4.    Once you have permission, please visit SOLAR for course registration :   Solar Link

5.    If you are under 18 years of age, submit the Financial Responsibility and Parental Consent Form to Stony Brook's Office of Student Accounts by mail, fax, e-mail. This form must be submitted before the first day of classes.

6.    When you have completed your course work, you can order an official transcript.
