Outreach
In Madagascar, conservation works when it meets the needs of the local population. Thus, a cornerstone of CVB's core mission involves outreach designed to provide better livelihoods though successful environmental conservation. CVB's core outreach activities, have been a planned part of the campus since Dr Wright first visited every village around the park. Our programs aim to reach every village in the park pariphery with solutions to the collective needs the community self identified. Those activities fall roughly into four category: health, education, reforestation, and economic. Together these four categories became the cornerstones of CVB's outreach. To date CVB's outreach programs have collectively benefited tens of thousands of people that have existed in the park periphery since CVB's founding.
