Meet Robotics!

The Stony Brook Robotics Team is a competitive, multidisciplinary, engineering design team at Stony Brook University. Students work together on engineering teams (electrical, mechanical, software) and operations teams (events, marketing, partnership) to host an array of programs and participate in internal robotics competitions to encourage students' passion for robotics and build their technical skills.

MISSON

The Stony Brook Robotics Team is a multidisciplinary, competitive engineering design team, comprised of students who are passionate about robotics and engineering. Our mission is to foster an interest in robotics through competition, to empower students to gain practical experience in engineering and design, and to develop a core community of dedicated roboticists, scientists and engineers at Stony Brook.

Each year, the team participates in international robotics competitions, challenging our members to collaboratively learn, design, and build robots to innovate in emerging fields, such as self-driving vehicles. Additionally, the team provides members with the opportunity to mentor under experienced members and to learn new technical skills, ranging from PCB design to computer vision.
