CCSP Graduate Student Leadership Committee Open Call

Join the Graduate Student Leadership Committee at the Center for Changing Systems of Power (CCSP)

The Center for Changing Systems of Power (CCSP) at Stony Brook is seeking applications from graduate students to serve on its Student Leadership Committee for the 2025–2026 and 2026-2027 academic years.

As a committee member, you will play a key role in shaping CCSP’s programming, strengthening our mission, and fostering engagement across campus. You will collaborate closely with Dr. Manisha Desai, Director of CCSP, to develop events, provide strategic input, and expand outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Dr. Desai to plan and execute at least one CCSP event.
  • Provide input and advice on CCSP initiatives and programming.
  • Assist with outreach, including contributions to CCSP’s social media platforms.

COMMITTMENT

  • Attend one in-person meeting per month with Dr. Desai.
  • Serve a two-academic-year term (if not in the final year of your program).

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to all Stony Brook University graduate students in good standing.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit a brief statement of interest (150–250 words) outlining your background, areas of interest, and why you’d like to serve on the committee.
