AAAS Department Internship Program
The Department of Asian and Asian American Studies internship program is available to 3-4 undergraduate students each
semester. As part of this internship, you’ll work collaboratively with other students to promote our department and mentor our majors and minors. As an intern, you can earn up to 3 upper-division credits through AAS 488 (with EXP+), using your creative ideas and leadership skills and gaining a rewarding experience that can significantly enhance your professional qualifications. You’ll also have the opportunity to build valuable friendships with fellow interns.
Required Qualifications:
To qualify, you must be a junior or senior (U3 or U4) and a major or minor in one
of the following areas: Asian and Asian American Studies, aChina Studies, Japanese
Studies, Korean Studies, Religious Studies, or South Asian Studies.
Expectations:
1. Support and promote our events & programs.
2. Design, write and publish the AAAS Department Student Newsletter.
3.Develop programs to mentor and empower current majors and minors.
4. Organize a social event that engages our alumni and broader community.
